Twice a year the solstices can be observed on either side of the globe. For this solstice we observe the Summer solstice in the northern hemisphere and the Winter solstice in the southern hemisphere.
Quirlicorns gain their magic from the sun and moon respectively and as a result can experience magic they have not yet earned during each solstice.
Your Quirlicorn may celebrate either solstice in this show, though please be mindful of your regions and what parts of the world are currently in Summer and which are in Winter.

This summer a a God has awoken from his slumber.
It has been many years since Quirlicorns had seen a God and much of their lore has been lost, which has left the herds with much confusion over the sudden appearance from this magnificent beast! While they felt unsure about him, it was clear that he is a deity that Quirlicorns once had a deep connection with. What will happen now that he is awake? What other surprises will be bring with him?
The solstice had come, and by mid day the depths of the cave had been fully revealed. You had found it, the voice that had called to you, the source of the magic in the deep mountains belly. As the sun moved to it's center in the sky, a skylight illuminated what had once been hidden. A brilliantly large crystal revealed itself, surrounded by a nest of smaller, but still large crystals, shimmering and glinting in the light. While you blinked the sudden blinding light from your eyes, a chill seemed to run over the others. There was something in the crystal? What could it be? As your eyes adjust, the crystal revealed to you it's secret.
Inside it floated a quirlicorn of ghost white, larger than any had ever heard nor seen before. Amethyst covered its coat in patches, its horn a wonderful pearl color. Its eyes lay shut as if it was only slumbering, but as the suns light landed atop its horn, the magic in the air surged. A great rumbling started as the earth began to tremble beneath the hooves of your brethren, many yelled out in fear, some dancing with anxiety, but none seemed to flee. And as fast as the rumbling had come, it suddenly halted as the great horses eyes flashed open, his brows knitting down onto his eyes as his horn began to glow in a blinding light. Closing your eyes to save them, only the loud shattering brought them back open as the thick stallion landed outside of his sparkling prison. He stood easily taller than the others, but not unrealistically. The amethyst on his chest seemed to glow, as he looked over those who had gathered there, his voice deep and firm as if the mountain itself spoke.
"Do not fear me, for I am one of those who helped give you life... Do you not remember me?"
For the purpose of this show you need to draw (or write about) your Quirlicorn(s) meeting their Earth God or otherwise coming to terms with him now being awake again. They may display magic they have already earned through Chime Points, or magic they will earn in the future, just remember that we encourage creativity and the end result will be judged on effort rather than skill. Feel free to be creative with the theme and show us how your Quirlicorn(s) would celebrate the solstice with or for their earth deity.
Things to note about the Earth God:
- he is significantly taller than standard Quirlicorns. (22hh+)
- he has spent the last several 1000's of years asleep encased in gemstones deep within a local cave near the Sacred Dew Tree
- Nobody knows how or why he was asleep all this time
- he is kind and nurturing to his heard, but strong and fierce if he has to protect them

Leasing a Quirlicorn
Don't own a Quirlicorn, but you'd still like to participate? No problem! You may lease one of our Group Horses and enter with it.
For this show we will allow Quirlicorn owners to lease Group Horses as well if they'd like to, though we'll ask that you please draw them with your Quirlicorns.
